As some of you may be aware, last year the PHP development team announced that support for PHP 4 would cease after 31-12-2007 with continued support for security fixes only up until 08-08-2008 which is now drawing ever closer.

Kiwihosting.net will be officially removing PHP4 binaries from our Reseller Servers on the 31st July 2008. Please ensure your clients are made aware of this. PHP5.x will of course continue to be avaiable on all Reseller servers. Any website found set to use PHP4 will be automatically changed to use PHP5 when we conduct the removal.

For assistance migrating PHP4 applications that are not already PHP5 compatible there is a migration guide available from php.net

Just a reminder that PHP4 is no longer an available option on our Servers. We have today disabled it from being able to be executed. If you have a website that uses PHP which has stopped working please ensure your site is set to use PHP5 and not PHP4.
