How do you use PHP?

Hi

I am currently learning php

I have added a few lines of php code to a website page hosted here, but am not sure how to view it.

I changed the filename to .php, but when i try access it after uploading it..it says 'page cannot be displayed'.

please help

Hi,

Have you enabled PHP in your web site settings ? you need to do this before the webserver will display .php pages. Also make sure you've created the file in the WWWROOT folder as this is your main website folder.

If you wish you can submit a support ticket including your domain name and someone will verify why it's not loading for you.

Yes Joomla is supported, our own website is Joomla based.

Hi, how do I make an uploaded file 'read only' ? cheers

Hi,

You can not change any server file permissions. A file being read only will not prevent your application from running, though some may give you "warning" messages.
